NUSTARS will be partnering with Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy to work with students at Haven and Nichols Middle Schools to complete a series of workshops to educate students on the fundamentals of rocketry.
In these workshops, NUSTARS students will be implementing an age-appropriate curriculum, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations in neighboring Haven Middle School and establish a weekly space, technology, and rocketry club for the middle school students. These workshops will culminate in students constructing and launching their own model rockets.
Additionally, we are in the process of setting up various workshops and short classes teaching basic rocket building and space technology to the general community at the Evanston Public Library.
